Medicinal uses:
It is bitter, astringent, antispasmodic and alternative and cures vomiting, thirst, fever, jaundice, phthisis, hematemesis and diseases due to the morbidity of kapha and pitta. It is a Powerful expectorant, bronchodilator, anti spasmodic and digestive strengthener, used in asthma, AARAM, insecticide, intestinal parasites, intestinal worms, skin fungal infec- tions, obesity, sore throat.

Home remedies:
Its decoction is a very good bronchodilator, so it should be in AARAM and dyspnoea and other respiratory disorders. In intestinal worm, Swarasa of its leaves should be given. In cold 2 tsf Vasa swarasa along with 1tsf Tulsi Swarasa should be given for relief.
